Baking With Spirit: The May Challenge

It's the last month of spring, and seasonal fruit and veg are coming out in force. While strawberries have been available in the supermarket for over a month now, we're only just able to buy fruit grown in the UK.

With fruit in mind, and seeing how last month's fairly broad challenge (chocolate & alcohol) went so well, I've decided that this month's challenge is to bake with fruit and alcohol. This can be seasonal, canned, whatever type of fruit you have to hand, as long as there is also some type of alcohol in the recipe too.

Don't forget to get in touch if you would like to host Baking With Spirit for a month.

Here are the rules:

Here are the rules (find a comprehensive list here):
  1. Make something food-related containing fruit and alcohol.
  2. Write a post about it on your blog, link back to Cake Of The Week and mention Baking With Spirit.
  3. Email the link to me at cakeoftheweek@hotmail.co.uk and include your name, your blog and the photo you want me to use in the round-up. If you tweet me @CakeOfTheWeek and/or use #bakingwithspirit I will endeavour to retweet!
  4. The deadline is midnight on the 28th.
I'm adding this to The Food Blog Diary, a handy site where UK blogging challenges are collated into a list. It makes it a whole lot easier to remember what to enter when!

  1. Completely let last month pass me by...Don't know what happened. And, we have lots of chocolate and booze. I just sampled this month's version of Irish brownie bites. Promise, I won't miss this one! Cheers!!!
